Originally from Suva, Fiji and now based in Auckland, New Zealand, Michelle is known to many as a friend who loves to chat, someone who cherishes her quiet moments just as much as she loves being in a room full of people. She dreams big, takes risks, and lives with intention.

Holding a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato, Michelle's journey has never been linear, and that is exactly what makes it worth telling.

HER STORY

Age 14

Michelle faced one of the hardest chapters of her life. After a deeply personal struggle that brought her close to giving up, it was a quiet conversation with a doctor that gently shifted her path. That night, she made a silent promise to herself, that one day, she would share her story. Not for attention, but in the hope that it might help someone else feel a little less alone.

Age 16

She became the CEO of a company she built with her business class peers through the Young Enterprise Scheme. She never stopped after that.

Age 18

Upon finishing high school, Michelle founded the Good Start Foundation - a charity close to her heart, while simultaneously beginning her law studies and working full time. She ran all three without missing a beat.

Age 21

Alongside her friend Cianell, Michelle co-founded Meraki and Candid — a venture born from friendship, shared vision, and a whole lot of courage.

Age 22

Michelle founded Merechelle Migration, and shortly after, Merechelle People — this time alongside her colleague-turned-friend, Mere. Two new chapters, same relentless drive.

With many accolades to her name, Michelle remains grounded in one simple pursuit, to become a better version of herself, every single day. Just a girl smiling and figuring it all out.
